COUTURE WEEK: THE RETURN OF BIG, BOLD FASHION.

THE REAPPEARENCE OF THEATRICALITY IN THIS YEAR'S COUTURE WEEK

Fashion has had a much more functional focus for a while, generally speaking. Most of what has been happening has been confort oriented, with mostly minimal or more demure aesthetic ideals.

But this past two years we have been seeing a growing presence of drama, and the more showy aspect of...well, the shows. Houses like Gucci and Balenciaga have taken storytelling to different extremes and More colorful Ready-to-Wear silhouettes like Vaccarello's saint Laurent have filled the runway with fun.

Couture week just happened, and here are some examples of  the wonderful shows that fill us with wonder and much needed fantasy.
